Spring is in the Air!

Hi Dolls,

Every aspect of my life right now feels like a rebirth. Do you ever feel that way? Especially when spring hits and the flowers are blooming and I get more activity out doors, it just makes me feel better and I want to take better care of myself and my home.

I have been trying to reduce the amount of meat that I eat as well as refined sugars and am amazed at the amount of energy I have when I eat less!  below is an example of a lunch.  The bread is fresh Italian bread No evil HFCS!  I have been eating a lot of salads and smoothies lately.

This time of year I love making Corn Chowder...this is nonfat...no cream or milk but is totally delicious!  Let me know if you want the recipe and I will post it in MY PAGES.

Suddenly I have energy to get done all these little painting projects around the house.  Last weekend I painted the back door and laundry closet doors.  Windows in the kitchen, Washed the blinds and washed and ironed the curtain.  Love that feeling!

I am able to drape the plants over the top of the curtains!  They are thriving in my kitchen!!

I painted two walls in the living room a Robins Egg-shell Blue - I actually mixed the color myself.  Turned out great!  I got great exercise doing all this activity!

I also spent a lot of time outside last weekend.  Planting flowers and painting.  I am busy getting ready for my daughters Engagement picnic in June.  HEE! - the rock with a smiley face is a family tradition.  It's called a HEE rock.  So cute!

I have even brought Spring into my office.  Planted a tiny pink flower and got some Lilac's that are so aromatic my whole office smells amazing.  That alone can put me in a better mood.

What are you doing to enjoy these first few weeks of Spring?

Kisses,
JennyMay

  1. Wow you have been busy! I got tired just reading this...well, I was actually already tired because my whole family has been sick. Mr. Q got us some pretty flowers which I planted in the back yard. That has been really nice.

    Blessings,
    Mrs. Q
