Hi Dolls! SIMPLIFY - that is the KEY!

WHOO WWEEEEE! I have been so busy! Cooking, cleaning, kids, oh and then the full time job of course. Wanted to post some fun pics of my daily routine because the goal is to simplify the 21st Century lifestyle. So take a gander. Molding the 50's sensibilities into the 21st Century is not easy. But one thing is for sure. Set your priorities....For me..The most important thing is to take care of myself, then my husband, kids and the home....once that is all organized, simplicity follows. All other activities come second. In my house, God is first, so Church is a priority, but you make your priorities around what you believe.

My goals each day are as follow...

1. Feminine Appearance (includes, clean hair, makeup tastefully done, feminine clothing, weight control, spiritual health)
2. Daily Chores
3. Daily Cooking and Meal Preparation
4. Work - 8:30-5 (I try not to work any longer that this)
5. Exercise Time (or just - me time)
6. Family time in the evening.

1. The Feminine Appearance.
I take some time in the morning to make sure I am well presented. Of course I work in the corporate world so that is a given. But I have found that it also brightens my mood to dress in a feminine manner.
I love dresses, skirts, colorful fabrics and scarfs (if you didn't notice).
Also, I believe in eating a very low sugar diet and lots of fruits and veges with lean protein. Today I am eating a chicken salad sandwich with a large mixed green salad! The sandwich is made with what I call "circle bread" you can buy it at Wal-Mart and it's in a circle and very low in sugar and carbs plus it tastes great!

2. Daily Chores.

During the week I try to get as much done in the morning before I leave for work. But I always leave a small list of the daily chores that should be completed by the kids or hubby or whoever arrives home first...things like, dusting, vacuuming, counters wiped, dishes washed and put way, laundry started, and a quick cleaning of the bathroom are done daily at my house. Even while doing housework, we can still try to look cute and fresh. Not only will your husband appreciate it, you will feel better about yourself and make your daily chores seem less like drudgery and more, dare I say, fun!

3. Daily Cooking and Meal Preparation

A nice breakfast is the perfect start to any day..SO to make it east...get a long griddle like this one and you can cook everything all at once!

Make a simple and healthy syrup by heating up fresh or frozen berries with a bit of water.

4. Work - 8:30-5 (I try not to work any longer than this)

5. Exercise Time (or just - me time)

This is the time between 5-6 or 6-7 (depends on the day). I go to my belly dancing class, Zumba, PiYo, or Body Sync....I always HATE to go in but LOVE coming out! Do something you love and it will not only heal your body but your spirit as well. Thankfully I do NOT have any pics of me in my exercise gear. :)

6. Family time in the evening.

Family dinners are so important. We had this special dinner at the Olive Garden then watched a movie together. Sometimes we play ping pong in the garage or go for a walk around the block or to the park. Even though they are still teens, they love to be together as a family. I think this is because we have worked really hard to make this a family routine, but most of all FUN for the kids and for us old folks!

FIRST AND FOREMOST - Take Time in the Morning to Enjoy Gods Alarm Clock!
