A Pause to View my Progress

Many of you know that I blog also via my health coaching site called...Lose it for Life...Now!  This is a journal of my personal Journey Toward Wellness.

This is a site where I incorporate many aspects of over all healthy living...and just blog about my progress.  It is very truthful and I don't really hold anything back about how difficult it is for me to deal with my weight and body image.  However, recently I have found that exercise is so much better than giving up certain foods and counting calories.  My weight is changing, that is true.  But even more noticable is how my body is changing, my mood is elevated, my memory is enhanced, my overall energy level is off the charts.  Now I crave exercise.  Please follow me here this week.  My wonderful husband and I will be celebrating 5 years of marriage this weekend and I will also be taking some vacation time so I thought I would share with you this part of my life.

  1. I used to teach classes as I shared with you before and never found the right place to teach after moving. Due to a knee issue I find my old way to be to painful. (kickboxing) I really think exerise is the key. I only used portion control and sensible eating before and my weight melted off. If I wanted to have a cookie or slice of pie no problem. I was working out 6 days a week and doing a lot of strength, cardio and my pilates 2-3 x a week. Compared to now...I'm lucky if I work out 3x a week. My shape has really changed. I used to be a size 6, now I'm a 10-12. I'm determined to get back to that schedule it's just difficult to balance with my job. Keep it up, I'm happy you're doing so well.
