Hi Dolls!
Today we are going to THINK before we eat...so when I saw this picture I began to think that praying before we eat is so important. Eat, Pray, Love...I have not seen the movie...but I like this message.
According to our author of the 21 day devo series...Lysa TerKeust. Day 7 - is about getting a diet buddy basically. Find someone who will be there for you in times of crisis. To encourage and remind you of what is really important. Jesus is our Friend! That is why I think praying before meals is so important. He wants us to be mindful of what we are taking into our bodies, Love your body! It is the dwelling place of God. This also gives us the perfect time to relax and focus on our level of hunger and remember what are goals are.
The Thought for the day is..
"It's possible to muster up the occasional gumption to avoid the slippery slope of compromising a diet. But more often than not, we need a measure of accountability. For me, one of the most effective accountability measures has been mutual tracking progress with a friend."
Mediterranean Food Idea for the day...
Over the weekend I made a delicious Artichoke...they are in season so reasonably priced.....This one is drizzled in Olive Oil, lemon and garlic with some salt and pepper....my family devoured it.
My sister brough a Cheese Spinach Pie...also quite Mediterranean, cheese, spinach, onion, eggs...Delicious and very very low in carb's
The end to a perfect meal for me is an expresso, a square of dark chocolate, and a delicious ripe strawberry! This is called an "ender" and is a signal to your body that your meal is over. You can learn more about "enders" at http://www.loseitforlifenow.com/ and follow my other blog devoted to my own personal Journey toward Wellness.
Kisses,
