I am your typical 21st century Housewife....well actually - is there such a thing anymore as a Housewife? I want you all to know that I love the word housewife - I wish I could be a full time housewife and my dear husband and I are working very hard to control our finances so I can spend more time at home. However, that is not quite the reality of the 21st Century.
I would like to explain that this blog is about how to actually balance the needs of our families in this 21st century world. Most of us have to work, full time or at least part time or make some kind of money - those of you who don't have to work outside the home, well I think that's awesome!
So my goal is to figure out a way to blend the ideals of the 1950's (I am an old-fashion girl at heart) - God, Family, Community. Doing things more by hand or from scratch. Creating an organized, warm, cozy home environment, while working 40-50 hours a week in a corporate job where there is little chance to be truly feminine.

Well - It's Saturday - I have the apron on and am ready to tackle the laundry, dusting, and catch up on my reading...Will sew a bit tomorrow. Working on a small quilt for a baby girl - hopefully I will be done with it before she reaches college age. ;) By the way - my Hubby is doing the vacuuming.
